This Privacy Policy explains how Tandem Education (“Tandem,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you visit tandem-education.com (the “Site”).
This policy covers our marketing website only. Our Elevate product processes classroom observation data under separate agreements with the school districts that use it; for details on how that data is handled, see our Security page.
Information we collect
Information you provide. When you submit our contact form or request a demo, we collect the information you enter — your name, email address, role, school or district name, and any message you include. If you email us directly, we receive the contents of that email.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we use cookies and similar technologies to understand how the Site is used. Through Google Tag Manager and analytics tools we may collect standard usage data such as pages visited, referring URLs, approximate location, and device and browser type.
How we use information
- To respond to your inquiries and schedule demos.
- To send you information you requested about Elevate.
- To operate, maintain, and improve the Site.
- To comply with legal obligations.
How information is shared
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us operate the Site, and only as needed for them to perform those services:
- Google (Firebase / Google Cloud). Hosting and secure storage of contact form submissions, and website analytics.
- MailerSend. Delivery of email generated from your contact form submission to our team.
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, safety, or property.
Data retention
We retain contact submissions for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry and to maintain our business records. If you would like us to delete the information you submitted, email us at info@tandem-education.com and we will do so, unless we are required to keep it for legal or accounting reasons.
Your choices
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information you have provided by emailing info@tandem-education.com. You can control cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics using Google's opt-out browser add-on.
Children's privacy
The Site is intended for educators and school administrators and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the Site. Student data within the Elevate product is governed by our agreements with districts and our FERPA-aligned practices described on the Security page.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including encryption in transit and access controls, to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above. Material changes will be made clear on this page.
